French Windows
French windows are tall, vertical windows that usually extend from near floor level to the top of the window opening. They are designed to let in maximum natural light and often open fully like doors, creating a strong visual and physical connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
They originated in France during the Renaissance, when architecture emphasized symmetry, light, and openness—hence the name.
French doors
French doors are a pair of doors made mostly of glass panels, usually extending from near floor level to the top of the door frame. They open from the center, with each door hinged on the side, and are designed to provide easy access, natural light, and a visual connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
They are both functional doors and architectural features.
